This past Sunday we were invited to attend a going away party for one of my cousins. He has decided to teach, for the next two years, in Japan. I could not even imagine being so far from home, let alone know that I would not be visiting home in the entirety of my time there. It takes a very dedicated and adventurous individual to attempt such a journey. It was so nice to be there to support him and see him before he departed, and to be able to wish him good luck. Also, my Aunt and Uncle love cooking and their food is usually divine. Their spread included: crab and mushroom quiche, zucchini quiche, home made scones and fruit. It was a send-off with style.
On Monday, the babe and I attended to last Beach Babytime at the library. It was both sad and wonderful, because we would not be back to that particular class and it meant the babe was done with baby programs at the library. We both had a fantastic time. The babe wandered around making friends with all the other babies, mostly just sitting back and watching them and sharing toys with them. She made sure the coordinator read the giant Goodnight Moon book and loved the pop-up book and peek-a-boo toy. She also went about trying to pull a box of jingle bells off the table, so we moved it down for her and she went a bit crazy pulling every single one out of the box. We also learned how to use objects we wouldn't necessarily think of to help baby learn and play (for example: a hula hoop to learn to crawl, or couch cushions to teach baby about levels). We are both going to miss the class, and this point in time in our lives when mommy and baby were home together and able to go to baby classes.

Firstly, check out the adorable leggings my sister sent our little one from Ottawa. Yay! So cute.
Yesterday, the babe and I decided to head to Kitchener City Hall to visit daddy for lunch. So, we hopped on the bus and set off for adventure. Right away we were greeted by it, as there ended up being three strollers on board by the end of our trip. It was quite something, I have never seen such a busy bus. The babe loved talking and smiling to all the people who got on. The only hitch came at the end, when we reached the Charles Street terminal. All three of the strollers were being taken off at the same stop, but for some reason the people boarding the bus did not seem to understand that they cannot get on until the strollers get off. We have to leave by the front doors, as it is impossible to push a stroller through the seats and out the back door, but no one seemed to understand that. It took me explaining it twice to the girls who boarded that they needed to get back off and let us through before they could get on, as there was no way to get by us. Some people. I thought it was common knowledge that you allow those disembarking the bus off before boarding, yet this has happened to me twice already this past summer (with no help from the driver directing those people trying to get on the bus to wait for me to get off). Oh well, we finally made it off and it was a beautiful day, so no harm no foul.
