This past Saturday, we took the little one on a trip to the Kitchener Market. It was our first official visit, in the 10 years we've been here, to the actual market section. We have been to the fooderies upstairs and enjoyed the Food and Drink show there, but we had never been right in the nitty-gritty of it. It was busy, packed with eager buyers and treasure hunters. We didn't think we would need to have in mind what we were looking for, so we didn't bother to bring a list. Which was nice in a way, gave us an excuse to peruse and navigate the maze of people, without feeling boxed in or rushed, but at the same time it limited us to surveying what we might want and missing items we wouldn't have thought of on the fly.
Saturday night our friends stayed for dinner, which was homemade panzarottis filled with Market delicacies and other scrumptious offerings. I filled mine with thick sliced bacon, ham, chorizo sausage, broccoli, zucchini, feta, pesto/tomato sauce mixed, onion, green pepper, garlic, and marble cheese. It was perfection!
My husband went out that night, while I stayed with the wee one, to a good friends heavy metal concert. He is in a band, The AxeLords of Zanzibar. They are very good, so check them out! Sunday we had another little tour of our soon to be home. We have possession in three weeks!!!!!!!!!!!
