The third course, the sweets, included: brown butter cookies, lavender cookies, vanilla bean basket with lemon custard and blueberry on top, vanilla bean basket with chocolate filling and strawberry on top, vanilla bean basket with plain custard filling with blackberry and raspberry. We had four different macarons, we each grabbed one right away to eat and it worked out (as the one I got was Lavender and the one my sister-in-law had was coffee). I am not a coffee fan and she does not like lavender all that much. We split the pistachio and the raspberry. High tea was topped off with chocolate dipped strawberries.
These desserts, on par! The custards, I am still craving them, especially the lemon and blueberry. Was more expensive than I am used to, but the ambiance, the effort put into the food, the taste, and the company, all completely worth the cost and I would definitely go back there again. Note: Was reminded by my sister-in-law to add that Idlewyld is handicap accessible, in every way. Completely accessible from parking lot all of the way in, with fancy buttons on the doors that go with the classic look of the inn. No expense was not taken to ensure everyone feels welcome.
