Friday I also went on a walk with the wee one, and enjoyed looking at the little blossoms sprouting in our garden. Spring is finally here, ignore the snow we just had Sunday.
Saturday we went to my mom's house to see my side of the family. Our babe's cousin, who lives in Ottawa, was there; they just had a blast playing with each other. And being spoiled by their Nana and Aunts. We had a great dinner of roast chicken, vegetables, baked brie, bread, artichoke dip and more. It was a nice and relaxing day, with part of the day spent outside in moderate weather. When we left it was a bit of a blizzard outside, and a trying drive home. But the babe fell asleep in the car and it was an easy transfer to her bed. After we put her to bed, my husband and I went about putting together her Easter basket from miss Easter Bunny (a girl according to our girl). We got some treats, giant purple chocolate bunny, stickers, a hair bow, and made a cute snack bag of gold fish look like a carrot. We also hid some eggs for her to find in the morning. She enjoyed every minute of her Sunday morning. Sunday, mid-morning, we went to my husband's parent's to see his side of the family. With a few more kids it's always a bit more rambunctious, but always good fun. We enjoyed a ham dinner, with TONS of fixings and snacks to go around. It was also relaxing, in another kind of way, where you know the people well and have fun no matter what you are doing. Even if it's a game of War with your niece for half an hour. I will put up the pasta salad recipe in a couple days, check the Food section of my blog by the end of the week.
