There is a small shop on the lower floor, tempting me with some teacups, but I resisted. They also had a few different copies of The Secret Garden, where their tea house name originated from; which, as a book lover, I thought was a fantastic idea. Also, loved that the receipt came in a copy of the book. Brilliant! Service was fantastic!! The servers are continuously walking up and down long staircases with hulking pots of tea, colour me impressed. The teapots came with golden tags wrapped around the top, embossed with the name of the tea (perfect touch). Even the princess tiara was brought out on a red velvet pillow. My goodness the food was delectable, perfectly presented and so filling! We ended up having to take some food home, which my husband hastily devoured and raved about. My son really enjoyed some of the sweets we brought home, especially the cupcakes. I have to insist, if you are in Elora, stop in or make a reservation for this fantastic new tea house. Not the most expensive afternoon tea we have tried, and not the cheapest, but well priced for the amount of food, the ambiance and the service.
