Due to this, it has been tricky for me to do anything but take care of my babes. It definitely affected our Valentine's Day. We meant to have a Charcuterie board for lunch, and my husband (with our son) was going to make a delicious dinner for my daughter and me (as their gift). Because we were all so sick, and lacking energy, we just did the Charcuterie board for lunch. Held off dinner for another night.
On the board: Aged Cheddar, Blueberry Goats Cheese, Gouda, Prosciutto, Kielbasa, Summer Salami, Rosemary & Herb Ham. Two chocolate covered strawberries, from my husband and son for my daughter and me. All these items, excluding the Kielbasa, were purchased from Vincenzo's (our go to for delicious cheese and meats). Side dishes: Fresh baked baguette, Toppable Crackers, Petites Toasts, Pickles, Grapes. We also made a Brie in our baker, with honey on top (for the toasts). Next post will be about the dinner we postponed. As well, keep an eye on my Instagram account (@onemamassummer), as I will be starting a new series called #boozeandbooks. I will be featuring a drink that I think matches the book I am reading at the time (or starting). First one was about Marvel's graphic novelization of Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey.
