We also got a butter tart from Sweet and Savoury Pie Company (2 tokens)...which later I thought about, and seemed a lot for a little tart. We also got a bag of sweet potato chips from TWH Social (1 token), which were tasty and we devoured later that evening. Our one friend also went over to meet Terry Salmond, fangirling a bit over him, which was too cute (cuter still, he seemed to blush getting the recognition). We also tried a sample of their Yogurt & Avocado Parfait: thick Greek yogurt and avocado mousse, cocoa nib and peanut crumble, preserved cherry with fruit salad. My husband liked it a lot, and I would have to if my stomach was being normal these days.
Also hit up the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest booth, of course. For 1 token we got a full sized pretzel, great deal and perfect for walking around and enjoying (also filling). They were also giving out Molson Canadian for 1 token, which many people were taking advantage of, not me though. We, unfortunately, didn't try everything, but what we did try was quite good and different from what we are used to. It was a refreshing and fun event where we could hang out with our friends. We also got lucky and found a food ticket, which made up for my husband accidentally giving too much for a beer sample. Sorry for the quality of the photos, taken with my phone, which is on the fritz these days.
