Inside the Glass Vault, Perrie and August find glass displays involving horrific scenes from movies, fairytales and history. While passing by the Sleepy Hollow display a force pulls them in, and Perrie and August must use their wits to survive and try to find Maisie and Neven. This novel is an homage to the terror of original folk tales and the hidden depths these stories depict. The fear of the characters permeates off the page and the book is full of a tense, consuming atmosphere. The reader feels they too have been sucked in to Rapunzel's tower, Sleepy Hollow or the darkened streets of Jack the Ripper's London. I would have rated this higher, but I just could not connect with Perrie. I found her a very frustrating and wishy-washy hero...often lost in the boys she loves and unable to focus on much else. I love Maisie and would have loved to see more of her, with her crazy eye patch fetish, her friendliness, her ability to love and to kick ass. I am excited to see where this story leads and was thrilled with the ending and what it means for the next installment. I was given a copy of this ebook by Parliament House Publishing in exchange for an honest review.
