Etsy: Made in Canada had the ability to make my money disappear. It was a wonderful event, and I hope they do it again. Seems like the turnout was fantastic! I was a little disappointed to miss out on an infinity scarf I saw, as the girl there before me bought both the light and dark versions of it and left me empty handed. Although, I picked up the vendors card, so maybe I will look online for the scarf. Just wasn't meant to be I suppose. My haul was great, and it was so nice to spend the afternoon with my mom.

Shantzholm Farm is a great place for kids to be kids. We went with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and my parent's to check the place out. We originally wanted to go to the Medieval Faire, but prices had increased so much, and it didn't seem like a feasible event for us. Instead, we looked around for a place that would be family friendly and where I might be able to pick up some pieces for the centrepiece I had planned for our new table. My husband told me about a place his coworkers had mentioned, just outside of Mannheim, and we decided to try it out. Free admittance, only cost is the pumpkins.
Creating this table was a rewarding experience. My husband threw himself into the work, and we are both pleased with the outcome. It is exactly as we imagined it would be! We ate our first meal on it last night, and breakfast this morning, and we cannot wait for the family time we will spend there in the years to come. First centrepiece will be fall themed, with some small grey crates from my mom.
