It was packed tight there, so tight that we had to keep a steady eye on the wee one. We also decided just to grab dinner, enjoy the outdoors a bit, check out the fire truck, then head home before the evening events (yes, we missed the fireworks).
The poutine was so big, it managed to feed all three of us. The tacos were out-of-this-world! Battered shrimp, spicy mayo, onions and tomato bruschetta like topping. Sorry, didn't read exactly everything on it, but recommend trying it if you happen upon this truck! Heard they have lobster mac & cheese balls (ahhh, must get!)
From there we went and sat up on the hill looking down onto the field. For a better vantage point to see the goings on and enjoy our dessert.
Our final line-up involved waiting for the little boo to get her chance to sit in the Fire Truck. Was so fun, and she loved it. She seemed to love sitting on the platform at the front of the fire truck the best though, and we got some great shots of her smiling. After that, we walked back to the car and headed home for a nice night just the three (four counting little bean) of us. Enjoyed sitting outside, playing, watching Magic School Bus, and then putting the little girl to bed. The husband and I spent the rest of the night lounging and being lazy, was perfect. We could also hear fireworks, so we didn't totally miss out.
