I selected the tea of the month, peach, while my mom tried the blueberry. I shared my peach tea with my daughter, which she loved (our server was impressed she liked the tea with nothing in it). She is a girl after my own heart, my little teatime partner.
The drive was long, but refreshing once we were off the highway. The little towns toward Lake Erie are so lovely, we have been to Port Stanley and Port Bruce, so it was nice to change it up and check out Sparta.
Hors D'oeuvres: Mini Quiche, Mini Tomato Tarts (my fav of that selection), Mini Sausage Rolls.
Finger Sandwiches: Salmon, Cucumber, Egg Salad, Spanish Onion and Cream Cheese wraps (these were surprisingly delicious and simple), and Turkey wraps. Cucumbers and grape tomatoes went to my daughter.
Desserts: Raisin Scones with Butter, Cream and Strawberries, Lemon Pound Cake, Lemon and Raspberry Pound Cake, Banana Nut Loaf with butter, Brownies, Coconut Squares, Tiger Brownies, Cupcakes with Strawberry Icing (my daughter's review "The best cupcake in the whole world"), Cream Puffs, Chocolate Eclair, and Raspberry Tart (my favourite of the desserts). Orange slices and strawberries went to my daughter.
This was such a hearty meal, we couldn't believe the amount of food. Although, I suspect we may have been given extra for the wee one. Thoroughly impressed, with friendly staff, and affordable prices. Recommend a visit to this special place. They also have spooky visits, and we will for sure be back to check out the High Tea and Tarot.
