My daughter ordered ham and cheese on a bun, from the kids menu, with fries, chocolate milk and ice cream (which was topped with caramel and gunny worms, wow). Just a great place for family, with a great vibe and friendly service. Check it out if you happen to be in Tweed, or driving through as we were.
We ordered off the special small portions menu for my daughter, 2 pieces of french toast. The size of them, wow! My mom ordered scrambled eggs, brown toast, home fries and a side of bacon (which was really for my daughter). My aunt ordered 3 pancakes, the size of her HEAD! Wow. I ordered the spinach and feta omelette (cooked to perfection, not runny at all), lots of feta and spinach. The home fries were fried, not crispy (which was a nice change), and I had rye toast with butter on the side. I also ordered plain tea, so refreshing after the heavy food throughout the weekend. We had a great time, the four of us. The car rides whizzed by, listening to music and talking about the past and present. We talked about shared experiences with parenting, about the girls, about what we enjoy doing and just how fun it is to be together.
My mom brought unicorn scrub and a birthday bath bomb from Panda Beauty (a company owned by my sister-in-law's niece), which the girls just loved. I have used a bath bomb from there before, and it was heaven. Both girl's were very sad to leave each other, but we will see them again soon. My sister is expecting her second daughter in a couple months, and we cannot wait to meet the wee one.
