This morning my husband and I attempted the morning routine we will be starting as of September 3rd. Turns out we did quite well, waking up (even after a terrible night of hardly any sleep), ate, got the babe ready, and were out the door by 7:45 am. We were so early, that we were able to stop for some coffee and tea at Misty Mountain Coffee. It was quite nice and I really enjoyed my blueberry rooibos.
The visit was once again perfect, and I knew once more that we made the right decision. I meant to only stay a short while, since the babe and I were tired from a sleepless night, but our home daycare lady is so nice that I lost track of the time, staying there for a couple hours just talking and playing with the kids.
I cannot believe how wonderful this woman is, how much I trust her already. Even though I wish, for all that I am worth, that I could stay home with my baby; I know in my heart she will love the daycare she is in (both the kids and the woman running the daycare). Our daycare is so easy going, but firm on schedule and learning. The woman running it has the same values as my husband and I, and she watches and likes quite a bit of the same things that I do. I was happy to learn she enjoyed Sailor Moon, and is a comic book fan; as well, she enjoys the original Star Wars and doesn't mind being known as a nerd. My kind of person!
I am so happy she was on board with us coming and visiting a few times, it is going to make the transition back to work just a little bit smoother. The babe was already crying when she left the room to help the little boy go potty, and I was in the room with her (talk about already being replaced, :P). I am so happy we have found such a loving and caring environment (much more personal than the Daycare Centre we toured).
