While I am super excited, I am also looking back at the years we spent in our apartment. Knowing that is where our little one took her first steps, cried her first tears, smiled her sunshine smile for the first time, and learned to say Mommy and Daddy. It is bittersweet, but this next chapter has been long coming, and it is heartwarming to grant our baby the room she needs to grow and challenge herself.
Even more amazing, the extensive garden left for us in the backyard. This spring, summer and fall will be spent watching what will grow, what secrets our garden will reveal. I cannot wait to spend days out in our backyard watching our little girl blossom with the plants, as we learn and categorize what each new flower is. Our first buds, snowdrops (which turn out to be the cutest little flower I have ever seen). It is turning out to be a more magical home than we first expected.
