There were a few that stood out and stuck in my mind long after finishing the book. Firstly, One More Wish, about a character who finds a genie's lamp on his quest for treasures. He goes about misusing his wishes, using them up without thought to the consequences or without care for anyone other than himself. This was very much a moral tale about greed, about selfishness. I found the main character frustrating, really actually disliked him and the uses of his wishes, and I could understand the annoyance of the genie. There was also an interesting twist when learning about the genie's background. The Dark Closet deals with personal demons, literally, trying to claim the sanity of a young man. He is unable to release himself from his past, and it was interesting to experience a physical manifestation of an obvious psychological issue created by nurture vs. nature. I enjoyed the mix of fantasy and reality, coated with a bit of horror. Irrelevant was a look at super human powers and how the individual might use those powers to help the world. However, it also focuses on how the world may view this unchecked power. Would humanity be willing to accept a "savior", or would they be weary and unsure. It was an interesting and well thought out look at power dynamics, social consciousness, environmental protection, borders, and different countries inability to work together in order to make the world a better place. As well as, seeing the power go to the head of an individual, who believes they can make all the decisions and know what is best for humanity without consulting any other people.
