Review: This book had its moments. I enjoyed the re-imagining of each Peter Pan character, in post-apocalyptic England, or "Everland." From Tinkerbell, Bella, having mechanical wings, and Hook being an evil German Commander whose initials spell Hook. Quite ingenious at times. I liked the story, but I would have enjoyed it more with a deeper backstory and more intensive character development. Less of the teenage drama that sometimes appeared out of nowhere. It has a good base, and I think the series will develop well, so I will stick with it. Overall, not my favourite retelling, but certainly an interesting and fun read. An urban, modern look at Peter Pan, his lost boys, and that ever menacing, if not misunderstood, Captain Hook.
