These last three weekends, before I return to work, I am trying to make the most of my time with my little one. On Saturday, I asked my mom to visit with us, as I wanted to check out The World's Biggest Bake Sale, on the Boardwalk at Ira Needles. Unfortunately, I read they did not make the Guinness Records book, but they were named Canada's Biggest Bake Sale, and were able to raise $13,000 for Rotary Charities in the area. Fantastic job by the organizers!
That night we were treated to ribs, corn, barbecued peaches, jalapeno poppers, chips with mango and peach salsa, butter chicken sausage (surprisingly good, with rice in the casing), and home made pizza. Our friends were so excited to have a barbecue in their newly cleaned out backyard, and with the weather being so perfect, they did a fantastic job hosting and feeding us. We cannot wait for their next barbecue endeavor.
We also enjoyed a sample of Gourmet Pizza's Pizza Pork King. The crust is some of the best I have ever tasted, the topping and sauce perfectly complimented each other, and it was not swimming in oil. Good pizza, although my husband checked the menu today, it is quite pricey to purchase.
The babe also made friends with a little girl who came in and could not stop talking to her. Perfect Sunday!
