The main exhibit of the museum is also well thought out, as each area with information also has a toy or play station to keep children's attention while you read about the history of the Region.
Our little ones favourite spot was the glass floor when you come in; where Huron Road crossed the Galt to Elmira Line of the Grand Trunk Railway for almost 100 years. There are stones beneath and she had fun looking down at them and jumping. We are going to return in the summer to take a journey through Doon Heritage Village outside of the Waterloo Region Museum...and so we can walk around the beautiful outdoor area with the cascading water and beautiful landscape.
