The rest of the dessert table was the fun part. My daughter and I made the required scones for the tea, we went with her favourite, cranberry. We made large marshmallows dipped in melted Reeses Pieces chocolate chips, then dipped in pink sprinkles. Our final creation were pink royal scepters or fairy wands, made with pink wafers dipped in white chocolate and rainbow sprinkles. The final touch, three dozen donuts from Jimmy's Minis. The flavours were Rice Krispies, Chocolate Blueberry and Raspberry White Chocolate. Each one of these was amazing, I could not pick a favourite. Highly recommend, as they were very reasonably priced.
A friend couple of ours brought some macarons from Vincenzo's as well. Which were amazing; some of the flavours included s'mores, matcha, coffee and raspberry (didn't catch all of them, but those ones I knew). Some had chocolate filling, and some had jam as well. Very nice of them to bring, and matched our theme well. As well, our little girl's best friend brought some homemade gluten free cookies (a chocolate and a sugar cookie), both were yummy. Our loot bags included: a chocolate bar (wrapped in a beautiful paper to match our theme), a royal ring pop, the royal jewels (candy necklace) and a little bottle of bubbles. I did brown bags with doilies, closed with purple and pink ribbon. Also, each one had the paper to match the chocolate bar on the front and the names done in stylized text. It was a weird year for us, the first time we did not include a book in our little girl's loot bag. Probably will not happen again, as she is book obsessed, and I love giving books to kids. The birthday party was a big hit, we offered several different kinds of tea and coffee. However, it seemed to be less about a tea party and more about our little girl having fun with friends and showing off her new Treehouse (blog post about that summer project coming up). It was so nice to celebrate with family and friends, everyone is so kind and generous; our little girl is blessed to have so much love surrounding her.
